Tionesta Man Injured in Green Township Crash

GREEN TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday evening in Green Township, Forest County.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 7:21 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 69-year-old Dalbert J. Eckert, of Tionesta, was operating a 2009 Ford Ranger traveling north on Nebraska Road at its intersection with Guitonville Road, while another individual was operating a 2014 Ford F150 traveling south on Nebraska Road in the same area.

Police say as the two vehicles approached each other, the side mirrors of the vehicles collided.

Eckert was using a seat belt and suffered a suspected minor injury, but refused EMS transport for medical attention.

Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department and Tionesta Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
