Tionesta Man Injured in Rollover Crash on Route 36

FARMINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to Marienville-based State Police, a rollover crash occurred on Friday morning on State Route 36, in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

Police say around 6:35 a.m. on Friday, April 6, a 1997 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 23-year-old Andrew M. Jones, of Tionesta, was traveling north on Route 36 at its intersection with Salsgiver Drive in Farmington Township.

Jones was negotiating a left-hand curve in the roadway, and the Jeep began to slide on the slush- and snow-covered roadway. Jones was unable to control the vehicle, and it traveled across the oncoming lane, struck an embankment, and rolled onto its passenger’s side.

Jones suffered injuries of unknown severity; he was using a seat belt.

Police say he refused EMS transport.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

Clarion Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
