Tionesta Man Scammed Out of Over $7,000

scamTIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) — State Police say a Tionesta man was the victim of a credit card scam totaling nearly $7,100.

According to Marienville-based State Police, the victim, who lives on Little Hickory Road, was contacted by his credit card company about several purchases on his account that totaled $7,095.95 during a period from May 13 to 15.

The suspect is believed to be living in Utah.

The incident remains under investigation.
