Titusville Trio Arrested After Attempting to Flee Police

TITUSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Police say three individuals were taken into custody after attempting to flee a traffic stop in Titusville on Monday.

Around 10:15 a.m. on Monday, August 6, the Titusville Police Department received a call from a citizen regarding a reckless driver who had allegedly stopped in the 100 block of East Main Street.

According to Titusville Police Chief Harold Minch, as officers responded to the area, the vehicle pulled away from the side of the road and drove west on Main Street, and when officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, it sped away.

Titusville Police Officers, with lights and sirens activated, pursued the vehicle out of the city and north on State Route 89.

Police say the vehicle abruptly pulled over at the Beagle Club on North State Route 89 and two of the three occupants fled on foot, despite orders to the contrary from the officer in pursuit.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle, Sarah U. Bloom, 27, was apprehended behind the Beagle Club after a short foot chase, Morgan Rounds, 19, was apprehended while fleeing south on State Route 89, and Donovan Vroman, 20, was taken into custody just outside the vehicle at the scene of the stop.

Court documents indicate that all three individuals reside in Titusville.

Chief Minch says the three individuals face various charges:

  • Bloom was a wanted felon from Portage County, Ohio on active narcotics charges. She was also charged with possession with intent to sell multiple narcotics found inside the vehicle, possession of a firearm, and multiple traffic charges, along with false identification to a law enforcement officer. She was lodged in Crawford County Jail with no bond awaiting extradition to Ohio.
  • Rounds, who was on probation at the time, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. He was also taken into custody by Crawford County Adult Probation for violations of his conditions. He was lodged in Crawford County Jail on probation violations.
  • Vroman was charged with possession of a controlled substance and carrying a firearm without a license. He was lodged in Crawford County Jail on $100,000.00 bond.

Police say other charges are pending investigation.
