Today at the Venango County Fair: Open Pleasure Horse Show, Demolition Derby, and More

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – The Open Pleasure Horse Show, Franklin’s Silver Cornet Band, and the Demolition Derby are just a few of the attractions today at the Venango County Fair.

Fair tickets are affordably priced at $6.00 per day or $20.00 for the week.

Children under eight are admitted free.

The Open Pleasure Horse Show at the Kiwanis Bowl and Senior 4-H Livestock Showmanship Contest at the Phillips Arena both begin at 9:00 a.m.

The Supreme Livestock Contest at Phillips Arena begins at 1:00 p.m.

Magician Howard Mincone will perform on the Scrubgrass Stage at noon and 4:00 p.m. He will also be strolling through the fairgrounds during the afternoon and early evening.

The Kids Pedal Tractor Pull will be at Phillips Arena at 3:30 p.m.

The Silver Cornet Band will play at 5:30 p.m. on the Scrubgrass Stage.

A flag ceremony will be performed by the 1st Battalion 107th Field Artillery Color Guard at 6:45 p.m. on the pulling track/main stage.

The demo derby for compact and mid-size cars begins at 7:00 p.m. on the pulling track.

Joyride caps the day’s festivities when they play at 9:00 p.m. on the Scrubgrass Stage.
