BARKEYVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Two men avoided injuries after a pair of tractor trailers crashed on Interstate 80 Tuesday afternoon.

According to Franklin-based State Police, the driver of a 2005 Honda Pilot was driving east on I-80 in the left lane near mile marker 28 when the right rear tire blew out. The driver stopped in the left lane, causing other vehicles to have to attempt to avoid hitting the Pilot.

A second vehicle, a 2013 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by John P. Henson, 42, of Ridgway, Illinois, was in the right lane and had to avoid other vehicles that had began to stop quickly to avoid hitting the Pilot.

The Freightliner went off the road to avoid hitting other cars, struck a ditch and rolled on to its right side.

Also, a second tractor-trailer, driven by 42-year-old Mikhail Gergalo of Tacoma, Wa., traveled into the median and overturned.

Gergalo was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.

B&amp’M Towing, CLiff Hovis Towing, Clintonville Ambulance, and Superior Ambulance assisted on the scene.

Police said Henson and Gergalo were both wearing seatbelts and weren’t injured.
