BUTLER, Pa. (EYT) — Trader Horn is closing all seven of its Western Pennsylvania stores including the one in Clarion.

Additional stores closing include all three in Butler County as well as locations in Eau Claire, Ellwood City, and Kittanning.

An exact closing date is unknown.

According to a source at Trader Horn in Clarion, the stores are closing due to the owner’s declining health.

Company-wide, the store employs about 200 people including around 25 in Clarion.

Trader Horn previously closed stores in Grove City and the McCandless Township suburb of Pittsburgh.

The company is operated by Butler County-based Harry Products, Inc., and has been in business since 1958.

According to the company website, Trader Horn is known for its low overhead and no-frills marketing plan.

Calls to Trader Horn for comment were not immediately returned.
