Traffic Stop Leads to DUI Arrest in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – A Polk man was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Liberty Street early this morning.

According to the Franklin Police Department, Patrolman Floor conducted a traffic stop on a GMC Truck for a summary traffic violation around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, on the 1000 Block of Liberty Street in Franklin.

Upon making contact with the known, 35-year-old Polk man, Patrolman Floor could see outward signs of impairment such as glassy bloodshot eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of beverage coming from the man’s breath.

The man performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI.
