Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest; Pleasantville Man Jailed

TITUSVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — According to the Titusville Police Department, a traffic stop led to a drug arrest early Friday morning.

Police say around 3:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6, a vehicle was stopped on Main Street in the City of Titusville for traffic violations.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 40-year-old Leo A. Hanlon, Jr., of Pleasantville.

Once officers approached the vehicle, they could smell the odor of raw marijuana coming from the inside the vehicle.

Hanlon was also suspected to be driving impaired.

Officers administered field sobriety exercises to Hanlon and subsequently arrested him for DUI.

He was also arrested and charged with several narcotics violations due to the large amount of marijuana and other illegal substances in the vehicle to include possession of narcotics with intent to deliver.

Hanlon was arraigned at 10:50 a.m. on April 6 on the following charges:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony (two charges)
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– DUI: Controlled Substance-Impaired Ability — 1st Offense, Misdemeanor 1
– Failure To Keep Right, Summary

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, Hanlon was lodged in the Crawford County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on April 20 with Magisterial District Judge Amy L. Nicols presiding.
