| April 19, 2018

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Trenton Moulin, Executive Director of Bridge Builders Community Foundations, commended the Venango, Clarion, and Jefferson County communities for their support in the second annual Week of Giving charitable event.

Moulin told exploreVenango.com that the event raised over $200,000.00 in contributions.

Bridge Builders Community Foundations (BBCF) saw a significant increase in participants in 2018 over 2017, with more than 125 local nonprofits that signed up.

“This was truly a community effort, with local businesses, nonprofits, and community members all coming together,” said Moulin.

“Through this effort, we are spreading the message of the importance of giving. Creating and cultivating a culture of giving in our area is a main goal of the Community Foundation.”

A unique addition to the 2018 Week of Giving event was the “real time” contributions page, allowing the community to watch live as organizations raised money.

The event ran from Monday, March 19, 2018, to Friday, March 23, 2018.

Moulin is looking forward to uniting the community once again for the foundation’s third annual Week of Giving. The date of this event will be announced at a later time.
