TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) — Three escapees from a juvenile detention facility are back in custody after Marienville-based State Police arrested them on Saturday for allegedly robbing a family at gunpoint earlier in the morning.

State Police say 18-year-old Stephen Renaldi, 18-year-old Kordell Walden, and a 17-year-old juvenile, all of Tionesta, escaped from the detention facility and walked to the Tionesta Recreational Area Campground.

Once there, the trio entered the campsite of a known man, a known woman, and a juvenile, all of Bridgeville, Pa., looking for a car to steal.

Walden then entered the victims’ camper and demanded the car keys while in possession of a stolen gun.

All three escapees were arrested and charged with multiple felonies. The gun used in the crime was recovered as well as other items stolen from the local area.

Assistance was provided by PSP from Clarion and Franklin and the Forest County Sheriff’s Office.
