Truck Crashes into Utility Pole in Cranberry

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man and two passengers escaped injury after crashing a truck into a utility pole in Cranberry Township.

According to Franklin-based State Police, Richard Work, 20, was driving a 1999 Chevy truck south on Route 62 Sunday afternoon when he crossed the yellow line into oncoming traffic and then struck a utility pole.

Work and two passengers — Clayton Work, 19, of Oil City, and Derek Johnston, 23, of Tionesta — were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

The truck was heavily damaged and was removed from the scene by Minich’s Towing.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department and Community Ambulance assisted at the scene.

Richard Work was cited for a noise-related violation, careless driving, and driving without state inspection.
