CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say two men were arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly threatening a Cranberry Township man with a handgun.

According to police, around 12:21 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, a known victim called the Franklin-based State Police to report that a man with a silver car was in his driveway along U.S. 322 in Cranberry Township threatening him with a gun.

When police arrived at the scene, the car was gone.

The victim gave a description of the man and the vehicle and stated there was a second person at the trunk of the car.

Approximately 30 minutes later, a man matching the description was seen at Sheetz in Franklin. The man approached the troopers in the store and started a conversation. During the conversation, it was determined that he and the passenger in his car did stop at someone’s house and ask to camp in the woods.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of a 9mm handgun matching the description given by the victim.

According to police, both individuals — 18-year-old Damon Olson and 23-year-old Forrest Lee, both of Meadville — were arrested. Charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats are being filed through Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish.

Bail was denied for both, and they were lodged in the Venango County Jail to await their preliminary hearings.
