Two Armed Robberies in Crawford County Bars Over the Weekend, Incidents Related

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — According to sources, there were two armed robberies in Crawford County bars over the weekend; police believe they are related.

Meadville-based State Police say they believe the armed robberies over the weekend at The Owl’s Nest bar in Woodcock Township and Nate’s Bar and Grill in Greenwood Township are related.

According to police, a man wearing dark clothing and with his face covered walked into the Owl’s Nest Bar on US Routes 6 & 19 in Woodcock Township around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say the man pulled out a gun and fired a shot into the ceiling, demanding money; he ran out with an undisclosed amount.

Additionally, Meadville State Police say a man matching the description of the Owl’s Nest Bar robber walked into Nate’s Bar and Grill on Route 19 in Greenwood Township around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday.

According to police, the suspect fired two gunshots into the ceiling, demanding money.

Police say a patron of Nate’s Bar wrestled the gun away from the man, and the robber fled.

No injuries reported in either robbery.

The man is described as approximately 25 to 35 years old, about 6 feet tall, with a medium build.

Police have no suspects.
