Two ATV’s Collide in Rockland Township; Teen Injured

ROCKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say two ATV’s collided on Pittsfield Road, at its intersection with McDowell Road, in Rockland Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 3:06 p.m. on March 4, a 17-year-old female, of Allison Park, was traveling north on McDowell Road in Rockland Township on a 2017 KingQuad. The KingQuad struck an RZR 1000 ATV, operated by a 14-year-old female, of Glenshaw, that was waiting to make a left turn onto Rockland Station Road.

After the initial impact, the KingQuad rolled over onto the 17-year-old teen.

Community Ambulance transported the teen to UPMC Northwest for injuries of unknown severity. She was wearing a motorcycle helmet.

The 14-year-old female and a 17-year-old female passenger, of Gibsonia, were not injured.

The KingQuad sustained minimal damage.

Neither vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.

The 14-year-old was charged with a registration violation.
