Two-Car Crash on Route 322, One Injured

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, around 4:45 p.m. on October 19, a two-car crash occurred in the area of Lively Lanes Kennels on State Route 322, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say a 17-year-old Lucinda female and 26-year-old Sarah B. Rood, of Seneca, were traveling on SR 322, and Rood was slowing down for a vehicle that was turning right in front of her.

The teen failed to slow down or stop her 2005 Hyundai Tiburon and struck the rear end of Rood’s Kia Forte with its front end.

The Kia traveling approximately 25 feet after impact and came to a final rest facing east along the south berm.

The Hyundai traveled approximately 20 feet and came to a final rest facing east along the south berm.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

The Lucinda teen was not injured.

Rood suffered minor injuries.

The Hyundai was towed from the scene by Venango Towing.
