Two Franklin Residents Hurt in Two-Car Crash on Route 322

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Sugarcreek Police say around 9:35 a.m. on March 31, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Route 322, Franklin, Venango County.

According to police, 35-year-old James Baker, of Polk, and 46-year-old Michelle Lowman, of Franklin, were involved in the collision.

Police say Baker was operating a 2003 Volkswagen Sedan westbound on Route 322 and lost control while negotiating a right hand bend in the roadway.

Baker’s vehicle struck the guard rail prior to coming into eastbound traffic and then Struck Lowman’s 2007 Ford Sedan, according to police.

Baker was not injured in the crash.

Lowman and a passenger, 44-year-old James Lowman, Jr., of Franklin, were transported to UPMC for evaluation of minor injuries, police say.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Sugarcreek Police were assisted by Rocky Grove Fire Department, Community Ambulance Service, Sugarcreek Towing, and Lowry’s Auto Body.

No other information was provided.
