Two Charged in Theft of Money Orders

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Two people have been charged in the theft of money orders belonging to an Oil City resident.

Oil City police said Jason Black and Brenda Sanders of Oil City conspired to take four money orders from a person that they lived with on West Fifth Ave.

Police said the money orders were cashed at Giant Eagle in Oil City.

The incident occurred sometime between April 3rd at 10:38 a.m. and April 4th at 11:35 a.m.

Black and Sanders have been charged with theft by unlawful taking and criminal conspiracy. Black was also charged with theft by deception.
