Two Emlenton Women, One Child Injured in Crash on Route 38

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Saturday afternoon on State Route 38, in Richland Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 47-year-old Melinda S. Davison, of Emlenton, was traveling north on Route 38 in a 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, negotiating a left-hand curve.

Police say 29-year-old Jennifer L. Wade, of Emlenton, was traveling south on Route 38 in a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. Davison lost control of her vehicle and struck Wade’s Suburban.

According to police, Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department mechanically extricated Davison from her vehicle. Knox Ambulance transported her to UPMC Northwest for suspected minor injuries.

Emlenton Ambulance transported Wade to UPMC Northwest for suspected minor injuries.

Community Ambulance transported a seven-year-old female passenger in Wade’s vehicle to UMPC for suspected minor injuries.

All occupants were using seat belts.

Davison was charged with a traffic violation.

Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene with traffic control and clean up.
