Two Injured in Cornplanter Township Crash

CORNPLANTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Fraklin-based State Police reponded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 8 in Cornplanter Township, Venango County.

Police say at 11:17 a.m. on March 2, 76-year-old Ronald L. Hicks, of Rouseville, was traveling north on Route 8.

According to police, Hicks was attempting to negotiate a left curve in the roadway when the vehicle began to slide.

Hicks lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a bridge barrier along the western side of the roadway.

The vehicle was moved off of the bridge and onto Old Bankson Road.

Police say Hicks and one passenger, 56-year-old Veronica Exley, were injured in the crash.

Both occupants were transported to UPMC Northwest by Cornplanter Volunteer Fire Department.
