HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienille-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred on January 6 on Butcher Knife Hill Road (State Route 227), in Harmony Township, Forest County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Lamarr A. Dixon, 67, of Yulee, Fla. was traveling west on SR 227 in a 2011 Honda Civic.

Police say Dixon lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway, crossed over the east bound lane, and struck an embankment.

Dixon’s vehicle then traveled off the embankment and partially back onto the roadway before overturning and coming to a final rest on its roof, police say.

Both Dixon and an unidentified passenger sustained injuries of unknown severity and were taken by Tionesta Ambulance to Titusville Hospital for treatment.

It is unknown at this time if Dixon or his passenger were wearing seat belts, say police.

The Honda Civic was towed from the scene by Frank’s Auto Body.

Dixon was cited with a traffic violation.
