CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT)— Franklin-based State Police say a two-vehicle crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon on U.S. Route 322 in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, a 70-year-old Franklin woman was traveling east in a 2014 Outback Subaru on U.S. Route 322 toward State Route 257 when she failed to stop at a red traffic signal at the intersection between 322 and a Home Depot. At the same time, a 44-year-old Emlenton man driving a 2002 Excursion Ford was heading north from the Home Depot plaza to cross over the intersection and into a Tractor Supply parking lot when he was unable to stop in time and struck the side of the woman’s vehicle.

No injuries were reported and both drivers were wearing safety belts.

The driver of the Subaru was issued a traffic violation.

The identities of the individuals involved in the accident were not released.

Venango Towing assisted at the scene.
