Two Local Men Facing Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Two local men are facing drug charges following a traffic stop in Oil City on Sunday.

Franklin-based State Police said the incident happened around 2:05 a.m. after a 1997 Honda Accord was stopped for a traffic violation along Plummer Street.

Further investigation revealed that the operator was under the influence of a controlled substance.

Police then searched the vehicle and found marijuana.

Police said a 24-year-old Oil City man and a 23-year-old Titusville man are facing charges in connection with the incident.

Police did not indicate which suspect was operating the vehicle. Their names were not released.
