| September 10, 2014

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – Two local women have been arrested after an alleged burglary occurred on Eagle Street, in Franklin, Venango County.

According to a Criminal Complaint, Franklin City Police were dispatched around 4:57 p.m. on August 27, 2014, to 1417 Eagle Street to investigate a report of approximately five individuals entering an empty house.

Patrol Officer Josh Wheeling proceeded to the above address and observed a female at the rear entry door assisting others inside in the removal of a refrigerator.

After conducting an interview, Officer Wheeling discovered that 20-year-old Tiffany Witt, of Harrisville, and 21-year-old Keyiara T. Conway, of Franklin, were the two women who allegedly entered the structure.

According to Officer Wheeling, Witt allegedly appeared from a wooded area behind the aforementioned structure with dirty scraped legs. She told Wheeling that she received the dirt and scrapes from fleeing the scene upon police arrival. She also stated that she was in the building, according to the complaint.

Officer Wheeling later located a female witness who stated that she observed Witt attempting to enter the secured structure by trying to break the glass out of the rear door. The witness stated the glass would not break, so Witt proceeded to a rear window and successfully broke it.

Witt allegedly gained access through the window and proceeded to the back door where she opened it from the inside, allegedly allowing Conway to also enter, according to the complaint.

Police believe Witt and Conway were on the inside of the structure for the purpose of removing the above mentioned refrigerator.

Witt has been charged with the following offenses:

– Burglary – Overnight Accommodation, Person Present, Felony 1
– Criminal Trespass-Break Into Structure, Felony 2
– Criminal Mischief – Damage Property

Conway has been charged with the following offenses:
