Two Charged in Murder of Grove City Man

MERCER COUNTY, Pa. — Two men have been accused of murdering a Grove City man who was found dead in Pine Township, Mercer County.

According to court documents, Ryan P. Bowers, 23, of Grove City, and Patrick S. McCamey, 39, of Slippery Rock, have been charged in the death of 60-year-old Michael A. Johns, Sr., of Grove City.

Johns was found dead on Irishtown Road, near the intersection with Route 58.

According to authorities, on Monday an autopsy was performed on Johns. His death was ruled a homicide.

Bowers and McCamey were charged with the following offenses:

– Murder Of The Second Degree
– Murder Of The Third Degree
– Robbery-Inflict Serious Bodily Injury, Felony 1

They are lodged in the Mercer County Jail on a non-bailable offense.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on October 8 in front of Magisterial District Judge D. Neil McEwen.

No other information was released.
