Two Sent to Hospital After Vehicle Hits Deer, Crashes into Embankment

SCRUBGRASS TWP.,  Pa. (EYT) — Two Kennerdell residents were taken to the hospital after a Sunday afternoon crash in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, Grace Lefevre, 24, was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass east on Rankin Chapel Road at 3:14 p.m. when she hit a deer that had entered the roadway.

The Jeep left the road and hit an embankment before stopping.

Lefevre suffered a suspected minor injury. A passenger in the vehicle, a 7-year-old girl, was not injured. Both were taken to Grove City Hospital by Superior Ambulance. Both were wearing seat belts.

Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene. Hovis Towing removed the Jeep.
