CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say two men were seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday night on Deep Hollow Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 8:02 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 32-year-old Joshua A. Goodman, of Oil City, was traveling southbound on Deep Hollow Road. His 2003 Honda Civic traveled off the western berm near the mailbox of 2712 Deep Hollow Road and then traveled across the driveway to 2724 Deep Hollow Road which was being blocked off by numerous tires. The car impacted the tires with its front portion and began to rotate in a counter-clockwise rotation while traveling in a southern direction.

The car then drove across both lanes of travel and left the roadway via the eastern berm and impacted a ditch with its front portion. It traveled in a southern direction in the ditch and the rear portion of the car impacted the ditch. The car continued traveling in a southern direction back into the roadway.

Goodman suffered suspected serious injuries. He was transported to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

A passenger in Goodman’s car — 49-year-old William E. Dolan, of Erie — also suffered suspected serious injuries. He was transported to UPMC Hamot.

Neither occupant was using a seat belt.
