IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon in Irwin Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police said the crash happened around 2:20 p.m. on State Route 208 (Clintonville Road) approximately 800 feet west of Kings Lane.

James Adzima, 70, of Greenville, was traveling east on State Route 208 and attempting to negotiate a left turn when his motorcycle’s left peg made contact with the roadway.

As the peg hit the roadway, Adzima lost control of his 2008 Harley-Davidson Road King causing the bike to slide off the roadway and into a ditch.

Adzima and his passenger — Debra G. Kirk, 56, of Sun Lakes, Arizona — suffered suspected serious injuries in the crash.

Adzima was flown by STAT MedEvac to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Kirk was transported to Grove City Medical Center by Superior Ambulance.

Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department and Tom Hovis Towing also assisted at the scene.
