CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Sunday afternoon on Whippoorwill Road, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Cody J. Clark, 26, of Cranberry, and Codie L. Webster, 31, of Oil City, were involved in the crash.

According to police, around 1:32 p.m. on December 17, a 2010 Subaru Legacy, driven by Clark, was traveling west on Whippoorwill Road.

As the Subaru approached a curve on the roadway, Clark lost control of it, causing it to spin clockwise.

At the same time, Webster was traveling east on Whippoorwill Road in a 2011 Dodge Durango, when he saw Clark lose control of the Subaru.

Webster began to immediately go into reverse before the Subaru struck his Dodge.

Clark was using a seat belt and was not injured.

Codie Webster and four passengers — Stephanie J. Webster, 33, and an eight-year-old male, a two-year-old female, and an infant female, all of Oil City — were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Clark was charged with a traffic violation.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department and Venango Towing and Recovery assisted at the scene.
