CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Bredinsburg Road, at its intersection with Orchard Drive, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police say 51-year-old Dianna M. Flowers and 18-year-old Dalton E. Boyles, both of Franklin, were involved in the collision.

According to police, Flowers was traveling west on Orchard Park Drive, approaching the intersection with Bredinsburg Road in a 1999 Dodge Durango.

Boyles was traveling north on Bredinsburg Road, approaching the intersection with Orchard Park Drive in a 1993 Nissan Sentra.

Flowers turned left onto Bredinsburg Road directly in the path of Boyles, police say.

Boyles applied the brakes on his Nissan, but he was not able to stop or avoid impacting the Dodge, according to police.

The Nissan’s left front end impacted the Dodge’s left front end, police say.

The Dodge continued to travel across Bredinsburg Road and came to a rest on the west side of the roadway facing approximately southwest.

The Nissan came to a rest in its lane of travel at approximately the point of initial impact.

Both drivers were using seat belts and were not injured.

Flowers was charged with a traffic violation.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
