CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin State Police say around 11:10 a.m. on November 19, a two-vehicle collision occurred on State Route 322, east of Montgomery Drive in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, 49-year-old Charles W. Irwin of Knox and 73-year-old Barbara Cisek-McGarvey of Cranberry were involved in the accident.

Police say this crash occurred at Irwin was traveling westbound on SR 322 in a 1994 GMC Sierra when he observed Cisek-McGarvey’s vehicle stopped in the westbound lane waiting for another vehicle to turn off the highway.

Irwin failed to bring his vehicle to a controlled stop, thus rear ending Cisek-McGarvey’s 2012 Nissan Pathfinder, according to police.

Both drivers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Irwin was charged with a traffic violation.
