Two-Vehicle Crash on Mercer Road

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Two vehicles were involved a crash Friday morning in Franklin.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 8:13 a.m., Samantha Reynolds, 24, of Franklin, was driving a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she pulled from a private lane onto Mercer Road and struck a 2016 Ford Taurus driven by Richard Rosser, 76, of Hadley.

The impact of the crash sent the Taurus across the road, traveling another 90 feet before striking an embankment. The vehicle then traveled another 42 feet where it hit a road sign and traveled another 30 feet before stopping.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts and were not injured.

Reynolds was charged with a traffic violation.

The Taurus had disabling damage and had to be removed from the scene.

Sandycreek Volunteer Fire Department assisted with traffic control.
