Two Vehicles Collide on Route 322 in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — State police in Franklin responded to a two-vehicle crash in Cranberry Township yesterday.

Police say around 10:30 a.m. on September 26, 2012, 68-year-old Alvin Zinz of Franklin and 22-year-old Shane P. Donahue of Polk were involved in a two-car crash on US Rt. 322, East of Parker Lane.

According to police, Zinz, who was traveling in a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, attempted to make a left hand turn on SR 322 westbound onto Home Depot Drive but failed to yield to Donahue who was traveling east on SR 322 in a 1998 Plymouth Neon.

The operator’s side front bumper of Donahue’s Cobalt impacted the front bumper of Zinz’s Neon.

Both operators drove their vehicles into Tractor Supply’s parking lot.

Both were wearing seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

Zinz was charged with failure to yield to an oncoming car when performing a left turn.
