Two Venango County Teens Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Rifle at Oil City Residences

oil-city-policeOIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – According to the Oil City Police Department, two males were arrested yesterday following a report of the individuals allegedly pointing a rifle towards residences in Oil City.

Around 3:30 p.m. Oil City Police Officers were dispatched to the area of West Third Street and Hazel Place for a report of two males carrying a rifle and possibly pointing it towards a residence.

Upon arrival into the area, the two males ran from officers and were located at a residence on Central Avenue.

Police say an adult male – 18-year-old Tanner Phillips, of Oil City – was arrested and charged with a third-degree misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct and a first-degree Corruption of Minors.

He was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish and released on $15,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on October 26 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Fish presiding.

Police say a juvenile male was also arrested and charged with Felony Juvenile Possession of a Firearm and a misdemeanor charge of Disorderly Conduct.

He was referred to Juvenile Court Supervision and placed in juvenile detention.
