U.S. Postal Worker Rescues Man Trapped Under Vehicle in Franklin

SUGARCREEK, Pa. (EYT) – Sugarcreek Borough Police Department say a man was trapped under a vehicle today at a location along Maple Street in the City of Franklin, Venango County.

According to police, around 12:40 p.m. on July 29, officers as well as Community Ambulance Service, Rocky Grove Volunteer Fire Department, and Reno Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the area of Elm and Fox Streets for a man trapped under a vehicle.

The man was freed from under the vehicle by U.S. Postal worker Danny Workman, of Franklin.

The accident occurred while the man was changing the brakes on the front of the vehicle. The vehicle became dislodged from the jack and stands, resulting in the man’s legs being pinned to the ground.

The man, after being examined, refused medical treatment.
