UPDATE: 45-Year-Old Man Injured in Garage Fire

-8508463225955037405_1D4A1787LUCINDA, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police said one person was injured in a fire that destroyed a residential garage late Sunday morning in Lucinda.

Clarion County 9-1-1 received a call around 10:06 a.m. reporting the fire at 264 Maple Lane just off Route 66.

Firefighters from Farmington Township VFC, Washington Township VFD, Shippenville-Elk VFD, and Marienville VFD were dispatched to the scene.

State Police Fire Marshal Kathleen Watters said one occupant of the home — 45-year-old David Sloan — was taken to the Clarion Hospital where he received treatment for a minor injury.

Farmington Township Assistant Fire Chief Tyler Lencer requested assistance from Fire Marshal Watters in determining the origin and cause.

The garage and contents was a total loss with damage is being estimated at $80,000, according to Watters.

A cause has not yet been determined, and the fire remains under investigation.
