UPDATE: Area Firefighter Taken to Hospital for Possible Smoke Inhalation

ST. PETERSBURG, Pa. (EYT) — A firefighter who was dispatched to a possible structure fire in St. Petersburg has been hospitalized.

According to Clarion County 911, the firefighter was taken to a hospital for dehydration and possible smoke inhalation while assisting at a residence located at 1312 Route 58, St. Petersburg.

No information is available on his condition.

St. Petersburg, Emlenton, Parker, and Knox Volunteer Fire Departments and Knox and Emlenton EMS were dispatched to the scene after the call came in at 9:01 a.m. Sources say smoke was observed in the attic.

Bruin Volunteer Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene for the rehab trailer.

The scene was cleared as of 1:51 p.m.
