UPDATE: DA Says Missing Girl Knew Leeper Man for Significant Period of Time

| March 29, 2013

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion County District Attorney Mark Aaron says a Leeper man who is listed as a person of interest in the case of a missing Clarion Borough teen knew the girl for a significant amount of time.

“Alexandria Sewell has known Josh Baker for a significant period of time,” said Clarion County District Attorney, Mark Aaron.

“This is a missing child investigation; it is not considered a forcible abduction.”

Aaron told exploreClarion, “Although we requested an Amber Alert, this does not meet the full requirements because it was not a forcible abduction – it is considered a missing child investigation.”

“However, the state police are involved and an Alert has been issued throughout Pennsylvania to be on the lookout for them.  The state police have access to all of the information in this incident.”

According to Aaron, Alexandria Sewell left her house at 2:00 a.m., and what occurred after that is still under investigation.

13-year-old Alexandria Kaitlynn Sewell was last seen leaving her residence within Clarion Borough at approximately 2:00 a.m. on March 28, 2013. At that time, she was carrying a backpack and wearing black pants and a black jacket.

Aaron says 31-year-old Joshua D. Baker, of Leeper, is a Person of Interest based on the information they have received.

These two persons may be traveling together in a 2007 cranberry red Subaru Forester with Pennsylvania plates.

Anyone with any information relative to these two individuals is asked to contact the Clarion Borough Police Department at 814-226-9140.
