Eau Claire’s Assistant Fire Chief Ryan Enscoe told exploreClarion.com that the store closed at 9:00 p.m. last night, and by 9:07 p.m., the fire company was dispatched for the fire.
Enscoe says Eau Claire Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene by 9:15 p.m. and left this morning around 2:54 a.m.
Some surrounding buildings sustained some damage, according to Enscoe.
“The Auto Excellence store sustained heat damage, which was minor, and a store across the street sustained some damage, the siding melted,” says Enscoe.
Enscoe says crews from North Washington, Marion Twp., Emlenton Fire and EMS, Harrisville Station 34, Petrolia Station 28, and other Butler County fire companies battled the blaze.
Several firefighters from Clarion, Armstrong, and Venango counties were also on the scene.
No injuries have been reported.
