OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman is facing felony charges after she allegedly used over $130,000.00 from her employer’s account to pay her own credit card bills.

According to a criminal complaint, Ronda Lynn Duncan-Yeschke, 46, of Oil City, worked at Glenview Apothecary for about 17 years and served as store manager, where she was in charge of paying the bills.

The store’s owner said he received a call in June from a credit card company telling him the business’ account had been used to pay for a personal credit card account allegedly belonging to Duncan-Yeschke, the complaint states.

After speaking with his bank, the owner obtained a printout of his account and discovered between August 2014 and June 2015 Duncan-Yeschke allegedly spent about $7,000.00 per month on her own credit card, according to the complaint.

The owner told police he fired Duncan-Yeschke and then exchanged text messages with her in which she allegedly agreed to pay him back “even if she had to sell her house,” the complaint states.

Police note all the credit card payments were made online and not through company checks, the complaint indicates.

Between August 2014 and June 2015, Duncan-Yeschke allegedly spent about $92,616.00 to pay one credit card, about $39,892.02 on a second credit card, for a total of about $132,508.02, the complaint continues.

Based on the information gathered during the investigation, Patrolman Ragon, of the Oil City Police Department, requested a warrant for the arrest of Duncan-Yeschke for the misappropriation of funds belonging to Glenview Apothecary.

According to online court documents, Duncan-Yeschke faces the following charges in District Court 28-03-01:

  • Theft by failure to make required disposition of funds, third-degree felony
  • Theft by unlawful taking of movable property, third-degree felony
  • Receiving stolen property, third-degree felony

Online court documents indicates the case is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
