UPDATE: Power Restored in Venango County

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — More than 800 people were without power in the Oil City area on Tuesday.

According to First Energy, approximately 832 customers in Venango County lost power on Tuesday afternoon, mostly in Oil City. There were also 11 without power in Cornplanter Township and fewer than five in Cranberry Township

As of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, only a handful of outages – all in Oil City – were being reported by the company.

By early Wednesday morning power had been restored to 100% of the county.

The outage was a result of a downed wire.
