UPDATE: Route 3017 in Canal Township Reopens Following Bus Crash

CANAL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Route 3017 in Canal Township has reopened following an accident this morning involving a bus.

A representative of Venango County 9-1-1 told exploreVenango.com that a school bus overturned around 8:12 a.m.

There were no students on board.

Utica Volunteer Fire Department, Polk Volunteer Fire Department, Polk Police, and Community Ambulance Service were dispatched to the scene.

The bus driver refused transportation by CAS, according to a representative of 9-1-1.

The scene was cleared around 9:50 a.m.

The roadway was closed from McCune Road/Buttermilk Hill Road in Canal Township to Kraft Hill Street in Utica Borough, according to PennDOT.
