The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following URGENT WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE at 2:28 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015:

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PITTSBURGH HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR SNOW…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM SUNDAY TO NOON EST MONDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…8 TO 10 INCHES.

* SNOW BEGINNING…LATE TONIGHT.

* PERIOD OF MOST INTENSE SNOW…SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND NIGHT.

* SNOW ENDING…MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS…HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITY AND SNOW ACCUMULATION.
