Charges Withdrawn Against Individuals Accused of Phone Scam in Jackson Township

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Charges filed against two individuals who were accused of a fraud scheme that targeted a woman in Jackson Township, Venango County, have been withdrawn.

According to court documents, criminal charges against 31-year-old Keno Deen Daley and 25-year-old Tiffany Tawanna Buie, both of Palmyra, Pa., were withdrawn on Wednesday, April 4.

Daley was facing the following charges:

– Conspiracy – Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Felony 2
– Conspiracy – Criminal Mischief-Another Pecuniary Loss, Felony 3
– Conspiracy – Harassment – Comm. Repeatedly and Inconvenient Hours, Misdemeanor 3

He was lodged in the Venango County Jail on $75,000.00 bail. His confinement ended on April 4.

Buie was facing the following charges:

– Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Felony 2
– Criminal Mischief-Another Pecuniary Loss, Felony 3
– Harassment – Comm. Repeatedly and Inconvenient Hours, Misdemeanor 3

She was free on $25,000.00 unsecured bail.

Daley and Buie were accused of engaging in a telephone scam with the victim which resulted in a loss of $5,200.00, and the defendants also allegedly attempted to get the victim to mail $9,800.00 to a residence in Palmyra residence, according to the criminal complaint.
