Vehicle Crashes into Tree in Cherrytree Township

CHERRYTREE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, a one-vehicle accident occurred early Sunday morning on Cherrytree Road, in Cherrytree Township, Venango County.

Police say around 3:57 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, 60-year-old Michael J. Kerr, of Titusville, was traveling northbound on Cherrytree Road delivering newspapers when he felt something let loose in the steering system of his 2006 Chevrolet Colorado.

The vehicle traveled off the east berm of the roadway and impacted a large tree.

Kerr was not injured; he was not using a seat belt.

Cherrytree Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
