Vehicle Crashes into Tree in Cherrytree Twp. After Steering System Fails

CHERRYTREE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Franklin have released the details of a one-vehicle crash that occurred early Sunday morning in Cherrytree Township.

According to police, around 3:57 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, Michael J. Kerr, 60, of Titusville, was operating a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, traveling northbound on Cherrytree Road near Buxton Road, delivering newspapers, when the vehicle’s steering system failed.

The vehicle then traveled off the east berm of the roadway and collided with a large tree.

Kerr was not injured in the crash.

Cherrytree Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
