Vehicle Crashes into Tree in Richland Twp.; Emlenton Occupants Escape Injuries

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – According to Franklin-based State Police, an accident occurred Sunday afternoon on Airport Road, in Richland Township, Venango County.

Police say this crash occurred around 1:10 p.m. on April 2, as a 17-year-old Emlenton female was traveling south on Airport Road on a slight downhill grade in a 2011 Jeep Liberty. The vehicle left the west berm of the roadway, hit a tree, and turned over onto its roof.

The teen driver and her passenger – 56-year-old Michael C. Hughes, of Emlenton – were using seat belts and were not injured.

Emlenton Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Hovis Towing.
