Vehicle Slams Head-On into Tree in Horsecreek Road DUI Crash

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police in Franklin believe a crash that occurred Sunday evening in Cranberry Township may be DUI-related.

According to police, around 9:25 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, a known 25-year-old Kennerdell man was operating a 1999 Toyota RAV4, traveling west on Horsecreek Road.

Police say the driver lost control of his vehicle and crossed over the center line into the left lane before the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree head-on.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt. He suffered possible injuries but was not transported to the hospital.

According to police, the driver showed signs of impairment at the scene and was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Charges are pending.

The driver’s name will be released pending the return of BAC test results.
