Vehicle Slams into House in Franklin; Suspect Flees Scene

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin Police say a hit and run occurred around 1:45 a.m. on September 23 at a residence along South Edgewood, in Franklin, Venango County.

According to police, an unknown suspect was traveling along South Edgewood, traveling towards the intersection of Evergreen and failed to negotiate a bend in the road. The vehicle traveled through a front yard and impacted the residence. An attached garage was struck and heavily damaged.

After striking the residence, the driver of an (estimated) 2002 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton truck then backed up and fled the scene in the damaged vehicle, according to police.

The vehicle would have most likely sustained heavy front end damage, police say.
