Vehicle Slams into Tree, Mailboxes in Cranberry Township

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say a a one-vehicle accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on February 10, on Allegheny Avenue, just past the intersection of Kinch Lane, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, 27-year-old Steven A. Dashner, of Oil City, was traveling south of Allegheny Avenue, attempting to accelerate up a hill when he lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. The vehicle slid off the east side of the roadway, striking a tree and two mailboxes.

Dashner and a juvenile passenger were using seat belts and were not injured.

Seneca Volunteer Fire Department and Community Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.

Venango Co. Towing towed the vehicle from the scene.
